Welcome To Get Big Get Strong!

For many years I have wanted to share my knowledge and success in fitness and personal development with others but did not know how to do it in an efficient and effective manner.

I was always busy either training people or doing research on how to better train people.

In the fall of 2006, I bought my first computer and got online for the very first time since the internet was “created” by Al Gore in 1993 and I knew right then and there that I had finally found the right medium to share my knowledge and experience about fitness and personal development with others.

When it comes to fitness training and personal development training, I feel that I am an “A” level player, however, when it comes to the technical side of the internet such as web hosting, web design, blog setup, etc. I feel like an “F” level player!

It took me nearly two decades to set up this fitness and success training blog.

As of December 2011, I am proud to say that I have finally put together the right platform to deliver the high quality content that I want to share with the rest of the world.

Why Did This Fitness And Personal Development Blog
Take So Long To Build?

After I got online for the first time in 2006, I soon discovered this thing called a “blog” but I misunderstood it’s importance and significance due to my limited knowledge of the internet at the time.

I thought a blog was a diary used by high school girls to share their romantic escapades with each other.

Little did I know that it was a powerful platform for sharing information with others.

In the fall of 2009, after much coercion and encouragement from my friends and clients, I realized I needed to set up some type of blog to communicate with my fitness and personal development audience.

I did not know what I was doing so I started out by putting together a personal development site using html.

I had no idea what I was doing and had absolutely no understanding of html web sites.

After several months of fumbling around in the dark, I gave up on the personal development site and began building a fitness site centered around myself as the sole personal trainer.

This worked out really well and I was able to help out many former fitness clients that I have trained over the past two decades.

In addition, I was able to help even more people than I expected in the areas of fitness, athletic training, physical therapy, etc.

However, there were some parts of personal training that I was never able to share with my clients and that was the area of money and relationships.

Why would a personal trainer be concerned about money and relationships?

The Trinity Of Good Health

When I first started training people back when I was only 18 years old, all I cared about was getting someone bigger, stronger and leaner.

I never cared about anything else in life other than how to get big and how to get strong!

In my mid 20′s I started to realize that no matter how big and strong you are, you never really reach your full health potential if your ass is broke so I started learning how to make money.

On my journey to learning how to make money, I stumbled and wandered helplessly for many years simply because I was looking outside of me for riches not knowing that the root of all wealth begins inside each one of us inside our minds.

This led me to start on my personal development journey into learning how to reprogram myself for success.

After creating a more positive version of myself, I began to attract an abundance of wealth into my life as well as an exceptionally beautiful woman into my life.

Many years later, I realized that you can not have quality health or strength unless you have what I call the “Trinity of Good Health”.

Many folks believe that the trinity of good health is made up of exercise, diet, and rest.

I personally believe that true health consists of not just proper exercise and diet but an abundance of wealth and a happy relationship.

Therefore in the fall of 2011, I finally decided to eliminate all my individual blogs and consolidate everything under one roof.

I decided to put all my knowledge, experience and training under “Get BIG, Get STRONG” so that I can share with you not just how to get your body big and strong but also how to get big and get strong with your finances and your relationship as well.

A Platform For Strong Health, Big Money, And A Strong Relationship

When I set out to build this fitness and personal development blog, it was very important to me that I could share with you all my knowledge and experience in the area of health, wealth, and relationships.

Furthermore, I also wanted to make sure that other trainers and coaches that I admire and respect would be able to share their knowledge and experience with you as well.

Therefore, I decided to get rid of my previous Personal Trainer Tai fitness training blog because it was centered around myself as the sole trainer and not set up as a platform where other trainers, coaches and experts could contribute.

After 2 years of wandering around lost in cyberspace, I feel I have finally come to the right place with my decision to create this fitness and personal development training blog.

I really look forward to helping you get big and strong with your health, wealth and relationships.

I hated growing up as a skinny and weak ass Vietnamese kid with a piss poor self image and dangerously low levels of self-confidence. My search for a permanent solution to my powerless figure led me to a rare opportunity whereby I spent over a decade conducting field tests and experiments on hundreds of U.S. prisoners to uncover the most effective ways to gain muscle, lose body fat, and increase the physical performance of the human body. I created this training blog to show you how to develop a strong and powerful body naturally, easily and quickly without any drugs because I sincerely believe that a strong and powerful body will change your life for the better just like it has for me and the lives of hundreds of prisoners that I have trained and rehabilitated.

    hey Tai, hw r u….. hope u r fit and fine…..
your all videos are simply awesome….. I wanted u to ask sumthing about the squats…
what should be the angle between your hip and the torso while bending…..
Is it necessary that your legs should be perpendicular to the ground….
    i hope u understand my point……….
    waiting for ur reply………….

  2. Personal Trainer Tai says:

@Ishan – The angle between your hip and the torso will be around 40 degrees or greater depending upon your goals. If you are just squatting moderate amounts of weights just to stay in shape and look good, then the angle will be greater than 40 degrees all the way up to 70-80 degrees.

However, if you are powerlifting and trying to set a new squat record, the angle may be less than 40 degrees depending upon your level of flexibility.

Each person’s angle is slightly different because of their flexibility.

Some trainers say that your legs (shins) should be perpendicular to the ground but in my research, that is very unnatural cause the knee was designed to go pass your toes as you squat down.

Again, depending upon the flexibility in your hips and ankle, your shin could be anywhere between 30-80 degrees to the ground.

Tai, can I use an elliptical to strengthen my knee. I had arthroscopic surgery 5 months ago and my knee is still very stiff and I experience pain to the point I limp. However once I get to going and my knee warms up the pain goes away but I can still walk a certain way at times and hit a nerve that makes me to limp. Also if I am on my feet for long periods of time my knee will ache and swell up.
I saw you on Youtube and absolutely love your approach and techniques. Thanks you!

hey Tai, hw r u…… u knw wat m a 400m sprinter(17 years old)…. my recent record in 400m was 55.28 s ……. in 100m it was 12.35…… how should I make a training program for myself in the 400m…. my strategy of running 400m is as follows :
First of all, I breath fast at the starting line. It’s like you’re tricking your body into already thinking that it’s in motion. Guess what, this trick will make you fly out of the blocks with a much quicker response time! It works in more than one way. First off, the breathing noise will annoy the other runners and break their concentration, it might even make them turn their head and lose concentration as they look over to see who’s making the noise. POW! – the gun goes off and they’re a split second behind. Second, this trick keeps you from not being so nervous. Third, it decreases your response time. Then I sprint 50m,(but not to dat extent) so that I can position myself in the race. My heel recovery goes from low to high, ground contact time decreases. From 50 – 200m I run in a flow, I do not increase or decrease my speed or my arm swing. From 200 – 310m, I reinvest in the race. It is because in the turning the speed of the athlete decreases rapidly. And then comes the final phase 310 – 400m. In this final phase I just try maintain my top speed, tolerate the lactic acid building on and on and dats it.

This is my 400m running strategy.
so, the main phases are :
    1. 0 – 50m
    2. 50 – 200m
    3. 200 – 310m
    4. 310 – 400m
therefore I have to concentrate only on these 4 phases to be the best in the 400m. so wat do u think wat should I do????????
If there is another strategy better than this plzzz reply me. and plzzzzzzz give me some tips on how to make a training program for 400m sprinters………..
I hope u will reply…. and thank u verrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyy much for that previous reply
